IT Professional Technical Training

ExtremeWireless Cloud Advanced Configuration
In this workshop, you'll learn how to implement, optimize, and manage services related to wireless networks hosted by ExtremeCloud IQ access points. Through hands-on exercises, you'll become familiar with the key concepts of working with ExtremeCloud IQ. By the end of the workshop, you'll have working knowledge of:
  • Device discovery and provisioning
  • Network policy
  • 802.1X with External RADIUS
  • Extreme's private pre-shared key (PPSK)
  • Radio profiles
  • Cloud config groups (CCG) and classification rules
  • Captive Web Portal
  • Switch templates, router settings, and onboarding a switch

Who Should Attend: Network administrators, support engineers, and integrators responsible for the architecture and administration of wireless networks based on ExtremeCloud IQ platform.
Prerequisite: Before attending this workshop, you must first have professional experience in networking, with a basic understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 operations fundamentals as well as wireless fundamentals. You should also have completed the ExtremeWireless Cloud on-demand training. CWNA is highly recommended.
Switching and Routing Best Practices
(CERTIFICATION)
This workshop covers best practices for implementing Extreme switching and routing, focusing on designing and implementing Switch Engine and ExtremeXOS in common scenarios. A campus architecture model is presented that will aid in getting the most of Switch Engine features. The course presents a systematic approach to building an enterprise network using the best practice for each essential protocol and its parameters. You'll learn the best practice for using automation features including zero touch provisioning (ZTP+) to save time onboarding and maintaining devices.
Who Should Attend: Professional engineers and anyone who is responsible for implementing networks based on Extreme Switch Engine or ExtremeXOS.
Prerequisite: To attend this course, we recommend you have professional experience in networking, with basic understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 operations fundamentals. Attending the Extreme Certified Professional training track on Extreme Switching is recommended.
ExtremeWireless Cloud Troubleshooting
Gain hands-on experience troubleshooting wireless networks with ExtremeCloud IQ in this fast-paced workshop. Through essential exercises, you'll become familiar with key methods that support the ExtremeCloud IQ operation and services. Learn proper operation and ways to determine misconfiguration, identify problems, and discuss how to troubleshoot them.
Upon completion of this workshop, you'll be able to:
  • Use logs and troubleshooting files
  • Use ExtremeCloud IQ troubleshooting tools
  • Set up SSH proxy
  • Use the Client Monitor

This course provides a unified technical foundation for deploying, operating, and supporting ExtremeControl in production network environments. It combines installation and policy configuration with essential operational troubleshooting into a single, streamlined learning path.
Gain practical experience with Network Access Control fundamentals, including end point discovery and profiling, authentication workflows, role and policy enforcement, guest access, and integration with wired and wireless infrastructure. Troubleshoot structured fault isolation, policy validation, authentication failures, and resolution of common access and compliance issues encountered in real-world deployments.
You'll discover how Extreme Platform ONE™ integrates with ExtremeControl to enhance visibility, monitoring, and operational insights across access control workflows. A required practical lab assessment marks the end of the course.

Extreme Fabric Installation, Configuration, & Troubleshooting

This course provides a unified technical foundation for deploying, operating, and supporting Extreme Networks Fabric environments. It combines Fabric installation and configuration with core operational troubleshooting.
You'll gain practical experience with Fabric deployment fundamentals, control plane operation, and service creation along with structured approaches to fault isolation and issue resolution in production networks. The curriculum emphasizes real-world scenarios and operational confidence. You'll also learn how Extreme Platform ONE™ integrates with Fabric to enhance management, visibility, and operational workflows.
Upon successful completion of the final hands-on practical lab assessment, you'll have gained the working knowledge to:
  • Deploy Extreme Fabric Connect solutions based on reference architectures from customer scenarios
  • Utilize VOS tools for troubleshooting Fabric Connect
  • Set up the management network and identify problems
  • Identify a properly configured SPBM node and locate Layer 1 and Layer 2 issues

Prerequisites: Students should already understand network LAN concepts including advanced Ethernet and TCP/IP. "Welcome Series—Meet Extreme Switching" is a recommended first steps before taking this course.
ExtremeWireless Cloud Installation, Configuration, & Troubleshooting

This course provides a unified technical foundation for deploying, operating, and supporting wireless networks built on Extreme Networks ExtremeCloud™ IQ. It combines wireless installation and configuration with essential operational troubleshooting.
Gain practical experience with ExtremeCloud IQ Wireless fundamentals including access point onboarding, RF and WLAN configuration, security policies, user access control, and day-to-day wireless operations. Troubleshoot structured fault isolation, client connectivity analysis, RF validation, and resolution of common performance and reliability issues encountered in production wireless environments.
